In Bangladesh, where nearly 20% of the population lives below the poverty line, access to healthcare remains a critical challenge. Many families, especially in rural areas, struggle to afford even basic medical treatment, leading to preventable diseases, high maternal and child mortality rates, and long-term health complications. The rising cost of healthcare further pushes vulnerable communities deeper into poverty, making free medical services not just necessary—but lifesaving.
At CRUD, we believe healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Our Free Healthcare Program ensures that underserved communities receive the medical attention they need without financial barriers. Over the past 27 years, we have provided primary healthcare services to more than 400,000 individuals, delivering essential treatments, maternal and child health services, and disease prevention initiatives.
Our comprehensive eye care program has reached 350,000 people, restoring vision and transforming lives. We have performed 9,000 eye surgeries, including 5,600 cataract procedures, allowing individuals to regain their independence and productivity.
Beyond treatment, CRUD emphasizes preventive healthcare, raising awareness about hygiene, nutrition, and maternal care to reduce long-term health risks. By delivering quality, free healthcare to those who need it most, CRUD is breaking the cycle of poverty and creating healthier, more resilient communities for the future.
